Sexual batteries occur when there is a touching of another person’s intimate parts for the purpose of sexual arousal or abuse. These crimes can be prosecuted as misdemeanors or felonies, and depending on the circumstances a defendant can receive a lengthy prison sentence. A conviction for sexual battery will require registration as a sex offender.

The following video is a relatively recent sexual battery charge and plea, where the victim claimed there was no consent and the defendant stated there was consent. Ultimately, the defendant accepted a non-state prison offer sentence.
